The Assessment of Compliance with the Quality Specifications of Mexican Official Standards based on NOM-016-CRE-2016 is a mandatory requirement for various stakeholders or concessionaires in the petroleum industry operating within Mexico. These include Transporters, Storage Facility Operators, Distributors, and Service Stations, who must be report the corresponding petroleum product quality to the “Comision Nacional de Energia” (CNE).
To support this, OTI MEXICO operates testing laboratories with the technical competence and accreditation in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. These labs have the technical capability to conduct sampling and analysis, particularly using test methods applicable to Liquefied Petroleum Gas, as well as quality control testing for Gasoline and Diesel. Furthermore, OTI MEXICO has obtained CNE approval as outlined in the regulatory resolutions for its laboratories located in Coatzacoalcos, Culiacán, San Luis Potosí, Tuxpan, and Manzanillo.
